Invalid Filenames
Unique Filenames
KSW uses filenames of topics as identifiers. Therefore, filenames of topics must be unique across project.  Even if located in different folders of the web, topics must have distinct filenames. This does not apply to excluded files or folder names.
(Folders mentioned above are file system folders, not folders of the hierarchy.)

Note. The term unique is used like in Windows, where filenames/paths are case insensitive.

Invalid Filenames
It is important filenames in your web are valid. If a filename is invalid, the web page editor will not be able to publish it. KSW requires that all filenames and paths employ ASCII characters only. Unicode non-ASCII characters are not allowed.

Note. For instance, a page editor won't publish a file with the '#' character in its name, because the filename is invalid.

Changing Filenames
KSW uses filenames of topics as identifiers. Thus, changing a filename (unlike changing an HTML title), is not all the way automatic. Even so, you can change a topic's filename easily - see Changing Filenames of Topics.
