More Language
Information
KSW was designed to work with all languages. This means a user should be able to
use a language of choice for any of the following:
• Contents of topics.
• Titles of topics.
• Title of project (title of browser).
• Hierarchy items, both folders and topics.
• Index items, both topics and terms.
In addition, different folders may be set for different languages. One may include a
folder with French documents and another with Polish documents in the same project. Both
such folders will sort correctly according to the French and Polish alphabet order.
Note. For safe HTTP transmission,
use ASCII characters in filenames of topics. Also, filename syntax must conform to Windows
and web restrictions. See also Web Filenames.
While the design of KSW covers all languages, and implementation is complete for a vast
majority of the languages, there are still features to be implemented in a few instances,
as follows:
• Right-to-left languages.
• Input facilities for some Asian languages.
The framework for these additions is, however, in place. If you'd like to increase
priority for any such feature, just send a suggestion email.
