Initial Settings
Initial Settings/Options when Creating a New Project
These are settings required at the time of project creation. We call them 'Initial Settings' to differentiate from 'Project Options'. The latter are available for changing at any time under the 'Options' menu button, but the former only can be set before the project is created. The initial settings are as follows:

1. Web Path. The full path and name of the folder on disk where the local/working web is located. See Location of Topic Files.
2. Project Name. Always the same as the name of the web folder name. Read-only. See Project Name.
3. Project Title. Can be different from the project name, if required. This is the title of the browser window when the KB web is displayed in the browser. The project title is also the name of the root folder in 'TOC Folders'. This folder on signifies the title of the browser; all the other folders in the hierarchy represent actual folders that appear in the HI frame in the browser. The hierarchy in the HI frame is generated by KSW starting from the hierarchy in 'TOC Folders'. See Project Title.
4. Sort Method Default. The default sort method (manual or alphabetic) every time a new folder is created in KSW. Set this to the anticipated most used sort method of this project's folders. On any particular folder, the sort method can be changed by expanding 'Sort Preview'. See Alphabetic Sorting and Manual Sorting.
5. Sort Language Default. The default sort language should be the main language of the project. Change it for any folder by expanding 'Sort Preview'. See Sorting.
6. Default/Front Page Filename. The filename only (e.g., index.html), not including the path, of the default/front page of the project. This page must exist in the root folder of the web at the time the project is created. See Default/Front Page.
7.
Default Topic Filename. The filename only (e.g., home.htm), not including the path, of the default topic of the project. This page must exist in the root folder of the web at the time the project is created. See Default Topic.
