Folder Expanded when Site Entered

Why is a folder expanded when I enter my KB site?

Reason:
The KB default topic has been placed within a folder. Or, an instance of it exists within a folder, before the instance at root level.

More:
At KB load, the default topic is shown in the main frame, and the hierarchy is synchronized to it automatically. This means that the first occurrence of the default topic in the hierarchy is highlighted. If this is within a folder, the folder is expanded automatically.

Solution:
Always place the default topic at root level; make sure there are no other instances in the hierarchy before it.
