Default Sorting Settings
When a project is created, the user selects the default sorting settings:
• Sort Method ('Manual' or 'Alphabetic'), and
• Sort Language (from a list of languages).
These settings become the default sorting settings for the project.

Creating a project and the default Sort Language
The default Sort Language is applied to the root folder when you first open a new project. But you can change the Sort Language of any folder at any time (expand the 'Sort Preview' button for the folder). The default Sort Language is also used in various other situations in the life of a project (like, for instance, as a default for index sorting).

When a new folder is created, it inherits the Sort Language of its parent

When a new folder is created, it is applied the default Sort Method
When you create a new folder, it is applied the default Sort Method, which can be 'Manual' or 'Alphabetic'. But you can change this setting per folder (expand the 'Sort Preview' button for the folder). It is therefore important to select the default Sort Method (when the project is created) according to the most used sort method of a particular project.
