Changing Filenames of Topics

You should never change a topic's filename
Of course, you can change the title, but you should never change the filename. KSW uses topic filenames as identification. Thus, if a filename is changed, when KSW loads the project, it will see the topic missing, remove all instances, and add the "new" topic to 'Available Topics'.

But you can change it
The above doesn't mean you cannot change a filename. You can, just track all instances and terms attached (using the 'Find' feature in KSW), then upon change of filename, reinstate instances and terms for the "new" topic, manually.

Note. It is likely that, in a future version, we'll find a more convenient solution for this problem.
