Before Starting Work on Topics

The following only applies to "start from scratch" projects:

Do I want return links?
It may be easier to give an answer to this question before starting work on topics, because return links require changes in the header and the template.

The HI frame has a 'close' link. When pressed, the topic in the main frame takes the whole browser window, which appears to the user as if the HI frame was closed. What happens after the HI frame was closed depends on what you include with your topic pages:

a. You may choose to ignore this issue and do nothing. Then, after closing the HI frame, one can return to the KB frameset just by pressing 'Back' in browser.

b. You may choose to add some code to your topics' header and template (provided next) - a one-time operation - for a more strict control of getting back to the KB. If so, please see Implementing Return Links before starting work on topics.
