Basics of Index Builder
If you filed/categorized a few topics, and then switched to Index Builder, you'll see them already present in both lists: 'Index Entries' and 'Available for Terms'. That's because...
• Every time a new topic is filed, it's title is also added to the Index. This way, you'll have an alphabetic list of all topics in the KB.
• Every time a new topic is filed, it is added to 'Available for Terms'. That's because a new topic is susceptible to creating new Index terms out of it, and so you are saved the dragging to 'Available for Terms'.

Note. When there are no new topics for the session, 'Available for Terms' is empty - unless you drag topics onto it.

Creating Terms
In addition to topic titles, the Index may contain terms/phrases. To create a term...
• Drag a topic from 'Index Entries' to 'Available for Terms'.
• Drag it back from 'Available for Terms': in 'Index Entries', a new item is created, with the corresponding HTML title and filename, and with the Index entry value in editing mode. Type the term or phrase and press Enter.
• Drag the topic from 'Available for Terms' again, and create another term; repeat until all terms associated with this topic are created.

Sorting
Sorting of the Index, in most cases, is based on your project's default language. However, under special circumstances, you may change it to a different language.
